Local Stage Stories

Editorial policy

Local Stage Stories aims to make live performance easier to understand without making claims beyond what the material supports. We explain our approach, distinguish editorial work from paid material and correct errors when they are brought to our attention.

Accuracy and context

We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable material before publication. Where a topic allows more than one interpretation, we make that clear rather than presenting an opinion as settled fact. We do not imply that a single venue or production represents every local stage.

Editorial independence

Editorial choices are made for relevance to readers and fit with the publication's subject. A partner, advertiser or contributor does not receive control over independent coverage as a condition of working with us. Any material arrangement that affects how a piece is presented will be disclosed with that piece.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update published text when a change is warranted. When a meaningful correction is made, we aim to make the change clear to readers.

Paid material and illustrations

Paid, partner or promotional material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, that use is disclosed. Illustrations are not presented as documentary proof of a real performance, person or venue.
